- Mar 10, 2020 Mail Not Launching or Mail Not Working After macOS Mojave Upgrade? One easy thing to try if faced with Mail Not Launching on your MacBook is to run the Mail app from the Applications folder as opposed to the dock on your screen. If that works, you will need to clear the icon from the dock and then re-add it later.
- Jan 01, 2019 In my experience when I’ve encountered this kind of poor Mail behavior, attachments may be to blame. To help mitigate this problem it sometimes helps to access your Mail account data and change the way your email accounts handle attachments. Launch MailPreferencesAccounts and set the Download Attachments drop down menu to Recent or None.
- Oct 03, 2018 On your Mac computer, open App Store. On App Store, click Updates. Click the UPDATE button next to Safari if there’s any update available. Wait for the update process to complete. Now check to see if this fixes your Safari issue. If it does, great! But if not, there are still other fixes you can try Fix 2: Temporarily disable your antivirus.
Restart your device
Restart your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch or Apple TV. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.
Jun 01, 2020 The version of macOS offered by macOS Recovery might vary in some cases: If macOS Sierra 10.12.4 or later has never been installed on this Mac, Option-Command-R installs the macOS that came with your Mac, or the closest version still available. And Shift-Option-Command-R isn't available. If you erased your entire disk instead of just the startup volume on that disk, macOS Recovery might. Restore mac to most current software.

For the past few weeks, the apple Mail program has been opening automatically upon starting my computer or login. I've never set this as a preference and have not found anywhere to turn it off in either the Mail or system preferences. I have also checked startup items and it is not listed there, either. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but when Mail starts up automatically like this, sometimes the mailboxes seem to have problems loading and I have to restart the program to fix them. This automatic startup began spontaneously, so I'm assuming it's a result of a software update. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how to turn the automatic startup feature off? Also, this has been happening ONLY on my 15' MacBook Pro and NOT my iMac 24', even though they both have OSX 10.5 Leopard. Thanks in advance for any help.
